A hemispherical optical dome is a precision concentric spherical optical window with crown height equal to its radius, providing a symmetrical 180° field of view. Unlike super hemisphere domes with taller spherical crowns, standard hemisphere domes strike a good balance of cost, optical stability and mechanical protection, making them mainstream protective optics for medium and high-precision optoelectronic devices.
