Optical Spherical Lenses

The meniscus lens has a convex and a concave surface, each with its own radius or curvature, the focal length of the meniscus lens can be positive or negative.
Double concave lens consists of two concave spherical surfaces with a negative focal length, which is used to make the beam diverge.
Double convex lens consists of two convex spherical surfaces with a positive focal length, which is used to gather the light from the point light source or transfer the image to other optical systems.
Plano concave lens has a negative focal length and is usually used for beam collimation, increasing or decreasing focal length, or expanding or reducing images.
Plano convex lens has a positive focal length and is usually used for aiming and focusing of monochromatic light sources
