The Applications of Fused Silica Domes
For applications operating in the deeper UV range, we offer a range of UV fused silica domes. UV fused silica glass has a wider spectral range (185nm-2.1um) than K9 optical glass) in ultraviolet band, it has excellent transmissivity, lower refractive index, better uniformity, smaller thermal expansion coefficient, higher chemical resistance and low fluorescence at the same time. Fused silica dome is a hemispherical shell shaped protective window, which is commonly used in the application of large angle range incident light, such as detectors, optical sensors and other applications. Fused silica domes are also commonly used in underwater applications at extremely high pressures.
