An achromatic cylindrical lens is composed of a positive low refractive index cylindrical lens and negative high refractive index cylindrical lens cemented together, which can significantly reduce color difference and generate diffraction limited focusing spots in one direction when using monochromatic light, different from spherical lens, cylindrical lens can produce a linear focused light spot.
