  • Detailed
  • Wedge prisms are mainly used in optical field for beam control offset. The inclination angle of the wedge prism is relatively small, which can cause the light path to deviate towards the thicker side. If only one wedge prism is used, the incident light path can be offset at a certain angle, when two wedge prisms are combined, they can be used as deformable prism, mainly for correcting laser beams.

The Principle and Application of Wedge Prisms

Wedge prisms use the principle of refraction to achieve light deflection and have wide applications in the field of optics, precise control of light can be achieved by adjusting the position and angle of the wedge prism, providing convenience for the design of optical equipment and systems. Most commonly used for laser scanning, it can also be used for optical pointing, such as  to locate the camera's field of interest in machine vision applications. Wedge prisms are widely used in laser technology, optical measurement, optical communication, and optical instruments.
